My mother, Tottsie Placek gave a great day to I in the midst of all the choas in San Francisco. It was the era of the Age of Aquarius and that love in The Haight made this country, my country, the United States of America go nuts. The outer version of the Age of Aquarius was to middle America communism and that was quite the conversation piece. Adults were a fathom above the midst of madness and The Haight was in the glory of acid often doing dances that made falling down a dream (accept for the scabby knee effect). However hindsight being measure and not rule The Haight barreled a few good talks that led to Apple, Inc. leaving the rest of what took place just bizarre.
My mother had such grace with all that mess, the city was being blamed for everything wrong and the country often said that we were all junkies babies and would ruin their country. I believe that being a kid listening to those things made me realize that it was my mother with her smile that warmed my day as the sunshine seemed to dim with each Tour Bus that drove through the streets of San Francisco.
