Dear Phil and Bob,
I was your Store Director for the store on Truxel Road in Sacramento and suffered an injury while on the job, and it has been years since I have spoken to either one of you. The simple fact is simplicity in and of itself as I have finally found my way back home to discover that I still am suffering a great deal from the on the job injury while working under your office. This grand and horrid injury has suffered my entire integrity and has stripped me of the most basic functions. The belief that PetSmart has been able to completely ignore this injury since 2004 and the year is now 2019 is unbelievable however the impossible is the possible waiting to happen and it did.
From my home in Sacramento to the impact that this injury has had on my life is so wretched that I again request that you settle in absolute my case so that I may find comfort once again in the bare necessities of life. My living situation must be addressed and you must purchase a proper house with all the needs to accommodate my on-going and everyday requirements set forth by the Physical Therapists. You must reply in kind as riding horses was the main reason for my original hire to PetSmart and I request that for my therapy and since I already know how to ride that you afford my equine friend and all the start-up tack and pay for his monthly board at the Golden Gate Park Stables by requiring the San Francisco Mayor's Office to supply a box stall for what will be my Service Horse. I have also come to learn that clothing and shoes are a necessity for my fusion as the pain increased so exponentially with the different shoes that I have had to spend years in bed to adjust to the affordability crisis leaving to me the only option of what I was able to manage and not afford, truly a crying shame.
I have now been on my back in my home constantly since 2012 and as I have waited for vocational training dollars and for basic needs from Royal Sun Alliance, the throwback has been simply neglect by denial and you said that you had great benefits and great worker's compensation should an injury happen to any associate which I used as a great hiring tool. This reminder is to allow you both to know that working a Store Director to the point of injury through schedules that required me to work an 80 week has it's limit, today is that limit. Not only should you be chastised and shamed your damages should be two-fold to cover the manipulative horror that your insurance companies have pushed upon me and the damages should include the PTSD that you have caused too. To have had so much to look forward as I accepted the job from San Francisco, moved to Sacramento and while working for PetSmart in Sacramento suffered an on the job injury to include the horrific 80 hour work weeks and split days which were not told to me until after I purchased a four bedroom home is just awful. I have been silent on this thus far however now that 15 years has passed and I am still suffering as if I had been maimed while under your employment I seize in the aftermath of such abuse of authority and management that I place the entire horror of account purely on both of your shoulders.
Throughout this ordeal both you and Bob have enjoyed many splendid days with the dividends to match as not only myself but any other injured party reaps only the pain of the injury to our minds. This continued manipulation that you are full well familiar with is just the icing of a cake that you and Bob served a full course meal of as the testing alone and results thereof prove.
Might this letter also say that Barbara Fitzgerald is a bald face liar and you both have more to do than to roll over and plead another day to event nothing but sales. Might this letter be the note that allows you to understand that in the stores we work more than our details and due to both of you and your lack of custom in basic management of funds to dollar you have caused PetSmart to seize at its barrel and that is the bottom line that stands the Board on its ear.
Sincerely yours,
Karen A. Placek
