Petition to Fire SFPD Officer Roger Morse

For threatening the Nietos and community after the Alex Nieto Trial, SFPD Officer ROGER MORSE must be fired. We ask that you sign this petition to support his firing. The San Francisco Office of Citizens’ Complaints has NOW concluded the following about SFPD Officer ROGER MORSE:

The allegation of CONDUCT REFLECTING DISCREDIT ON THE DEPARTMENT against a police officer for behaving inappropriately or and making inappropriate comments is SUSTAINED.

The matter will now be transmitted to the SFPD Chief of Police for review and ACTION.

This means that Officer ROGER MORSE, who unlawfully killed Alex Nieto, should be punished for making threats after the trial. This has never happened in the history of the Office of Citizens’ Complaints. We, the people, however, must make certain that the punishment is just. For his threats and lack of sensitivity, Officer Roger Morse should be fired. This petition will be forwarded to Joyce Hicks, Executive Director of the OCC, and Tony Chaplin, SFPD Acting Chief.

The following is a copy of the actual text posting on social media’s Facebook by Officer Morse:

“Smiling (referring to Alex Nieto). Ugh how about burning down his house and tazing his friend who pressed charges.”

Officer Roger Morse’s post is a threat in the English language.

The words must stand on their own, and we must trust the police officer writer, having written hundreds of reports, knows how to write in English. Any implications that others are attaching to his words are pure speculation. We have heard no other explanation from the source himself.
